The Village of Summit, Illinois
Police Department
The Summit Police Department has purchased a new telephone system. The new
digital system is more versatile than the old phones, allowing voice mail for individual
officers, and voice message menus to direct incoming calls to the right extensions.
The new phone system has also allowed us to institute a new telephone program.
The ANONYMOUS TIP HOTLINE is open for business. This program is aimed at helping
our residents feel safe in sharing whatever information they have about things they
see. There is no name required, anyone can call (708) 563-8100. Your
Police Department needs your help to make Summit a safer community. Remember
these numbers:
EMERGENCY - 911
NON-EMERGENCY - (708) 563-4830
ANONYMOUS TIPS - (708) 563-8100
In order to better serve our Handicapped, Communication disorder, and Special needs
residents the Summit Police Department is starting a Photo/Contact Directory.
This book will better our officers' ability to quickly access and help lost or injured
children and adults who cannot communicate. We will be able to contact parents
and care givers much more quickly, lessening the stress for the lost or injured
person. We invite every Summit resident who lives with/cares for a person
with a diminished capacity to participate. Just bring the person to the Police
Department and we will take their contact information and a picture, or you can
call and make an appointment and we will come to you. Thank you for helping
us protect those who need it the most.
Happy New Year from
The Summit Police Department
